Why I Love Being A Sleep Consultant

It’s here! We officially launched our new education platform here at Sweet Sleep Academy to help grow and cultivate sleep consultants!

Being a sleep consultant is a rewarding and challenging career. No two days, or two babies, are the same! A child’s sleep can be impacted by nutrition, changes in their environment, time differences, a switch in personal preferences, and more. If you’re a parent who has struggled with understanding your child’s sleep, you will know how relieving your days can be once you understand your child’s patterns, sleep style, and create a sleep plan that works.

Aspiring sleep consultants at the Sweet Sleep Academy will learn our unique approach to pediatric sleep, which combines sleep science, proven success implementing our methods, and gain a complete understanding of how to apply our sleep profiles with clients.

We love sharing our insights and expertise on all things sleep here at My Sweet Sleeper, but today we want to share why we love our jobs as a sleep consultant!

“I love being a sleep consultant for many reasons, but at the top of my list is being able to make my own working hours. With a little one at home, being able to work around her schedule and our family life is a major win for me!”

“Having a baby is such a huge life change that comes with so many adjustments and a huge learning curve. I love being a resource to help those going through the adjustments, especially when it comes to the hugely important challenge of sleep. While it's one thing to just give advise to friends, it's another thing to be able to help acquaintances and strangers too, and have them actually trust you because you're certified!”

“I love being a sleep consultant because I love being able to help parents know that they aren’t alone and that there are practical steps they can take to help their baby, and therefore themselves, sleep better! Sleep is such a vital part of our lives and essential to our overall health! I like to take the guesswork out of the process for my clients and really tailor my sleep advice specific to their child. It’s so rewarding!”

-Paige Harris

And last, but certainly not least, My Sweet Sleeper and Sweet Sleep Academy’s founder, Rachel Mitchell says:

“Waking up everyday and helping parents get better sleep feels more like a dream than a job. Healthy sleep is SO important and makes such a huge difference in the lives of parents and children. I am so blessed to be able to give this gift to parents. This is truly the best profession and I genuinely look forward to each new family I have the opportunity of working with!”
