Why maternity/postpartum sleep consulting?
If you have been pregnant or know someone who has been, you are likely aware that quality sleep is not something that is experienced often in this stage- and unfortunately the same is true for the postpartum period. In both of these stages, so much attention and emphasis is placed on the baby (as it should), but the mother’s health is often overlooked, especially once their child is born. This is a problem, not only because it can have so many physical and negative health affects for women, but studies upon studies show that it can also negatively affect the baby, even when in the womb!
This is why it is so important that women are supported and educated around ways to get healthier sleep during pregnancy and postpartum, which ultimately helps the entire family unit! Additionally, there is a lack of education and resources provided from medical providers to women in these stages, leaving them to deal with sleep deprivation on their own. As a maternity and postpartum sleep consultant, you have the ability to help women get better sleep through one-on-one coaching, digital resources, community support, and more! This can be life changing for those that are struggling throughout their pregnancy and in the postpartum stage and for YOU as you have the ability to support women while building a rewarding career!

About your instructor
Rachel is the founder of My Sweet Sleeper & Sweet Sleep Academy, a certified Pediatric & Maternity Sleep Specialist, former night nanny, and mom of seven (4 births and 3 bonus kiddos). Rachel launched My Sweet Sleeper shortly after having her first son in 2010, once she realized how little support was offered to families struggling with sleep deprivation.
Since starting My Sweet Sleeper, Rachel has worked with thousands of families all over the world and has had the rewarding experience of helping families get adequate rest. Her company has grown from offering in-home individual sleep consultations, to creating online courses and guides, and writing for major publications such as Motherly, The Bump, The Wall Street Journal, and The Huffington Post, as well as becoming a published author.
In 2019, Rachel discovered an additional passion-teaching others how to work in this field and make an impact by leading families to better sleep. That's when she decided to build and launch her own certification program , and pass on her 10+ years of expertise in this field to future sleep consultants through her online certification program.
In addition to her professional experience she holds a degree in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis in human and child development from Umass Amherst. She resides just outside of Boston with her husband and children and enjoys running, cooking, and exploring new ways to manage the chaos that comes with a large family.
What is the cost?
